Latari Swordsman

Like the sorrowful Emorial before them, the Darnati Warriors of the Latari Elves believe they can ascend Latariana’s Stair only if they vanquish the darkness that plunged their people into this world. To that end, warriors adopt apprentices into their mysterious temples, away from the traditional teachings of the Daughters of the Empyrean. There, the wouldbe swordsmen learn the discipline, mysteries, and ritual that form the basis of the dance. All of this is done wordlessly, with a complex language of hand gestures and signs, for the fully fledged warriors of the Darnati have sworn a vow of silence save for their sacred prayers and scriptures, which they use as a rallying cry in battle or whisper to their swords as part of their sacred dance.

The Darnati are a mysterious order of mystical adepts who channel their spiritual energies into amazing displays of grace, speed, balance, and power. Often referred to as the Swordsmasters, these monks are among the most feared warriors in all of Mennara—and from their modest monastery, they hold perpetual vigil over the Darnati Highlands.

They share a mysterious bond with their moonstone blades that none outside of their ranks understand. They use this connection to focus their energy and slash through foes as if the weapons were as light as air. For those rare few who have witnessed the speed and grace of the Darnati, there is no denying the sheer beauty - and effectiveness - of their techniques.

Elf

The Darnati regard their deadly craft as a sacred dance. Rather than weighing themselves down with heavy armor, the Darnati Warriors rely on their speed and skill for protection in battle. Many who fill the ranks of the Darnati Warriors come from the class of Highborn Elves, those with the strongest natural connection to Latariana’s Door, and they dedicate their lives to seeking redemption through discipline and devotion. The Order’s connection to the natural and the spiritual world grants them a deep arcane knowledge with the Corruption Rune.

As the Latari prepare for war, the Darnati Warriors must leave the sanctuary of their stone temples to defend their Latari brothers and sisters. If they can vanquish the evil of the Mistlands and the wastes of the Ru, perhaps they can gain the redemption they so desperately seek. Either way, the enemies of the Darnati will face a death both swift and beautiful.
