When an Uthuk warlord named Da’Roul Bonesplicer marched on Terrinoth from the Wastes, General Waiqar commenced the Ru Campaign. He and his troops vanquished Da’Roul, and throughout Ru and the Darklands they annihilated the Uthuk camps. King Daqan ordered the building of guard towers along the borders of the forbidden lands so that he could station patrols there to watch for signs of resurgent Uthuk. In the years since, the watchtowers have fallen into disuse, for the Uthuk had been utterly destroyed.
